Child Tax Credits
Currently claiming child tax credits with a household income below £16,010 per year you may be entitled to a grant to replace your inefficient and old gas. You can be the homeowner or tenant as longs as your gas is 5+ years old you may qualify.
Working Tax Credits

What is the ECO scheme?
The Government-backed Energy Companies Obligations (ECO) scheme places an obligation on the largest energy suppliers – including npower, E.ON and British Gas, SSE, EDF and Scottish Power – to help make British households more energy efficient and help reduce their energy bills. By offering free grants towards new energy efficient boilers to eligible households helps reduce the cost of heating the home and contributes towards the overall drive to reduce carbon emissions. Those who benefit from the ECO scheme with a free boiler grant could save several hundred pounds on their heating each year.
How much will a new boiler save me?
If we consider an old boiler may only be operating at 65% of its efficiency you could literally be wasting 35p of every pound you spend on energy. The good news is that new boilers with an ‘A’ rating can operate at around 90% + efficiency which translates into less than 10p wastage. So, you could save as much as £300 per year by replacing your old and inefficient boiler with a brand new one with an ‘A’ rating. Imagine what you could do with that money! Who is eligible for a grant?

How is the boiler grant free?
Under the government boiler scheme, it is the leading energy companies who are under the obligation to provide the grants for replacement boilers to those who qualify. This allows you to get your brand new boiler at a fraction of the cost.
Does the boiler grant have to be repaid?
Boiler grants are free and do not have to be repaid at any time. There are no hidden terms and conditions to worry about. The scheme aims to help low income households improve their home energy efficiency and any grants are non-repayable. Those eligible for a grant will either get a free or a subsidised boiler replacement. In some cases a contribution may be required towards the cost of the new boiler, but this will be made clear from the outset, following a free assessment at your home.
How long does installation take?
We understand that many of our clients will be eager to know exactly how long it takes for their new boiler to be fully functional in their home, particularly if your current boiler has issues. Specific schedules can vary a little depending on availability of staff and equipment in your region at a given time, but in general, it should be no more than 2-3 months from the moment you apply through to completed installation.
What type of boiler can I get fitted?
Under the ECO scheme, you can have a brand new A-rated, energy efficient combi or system boiler fitted which will have an efficiency usually in excess of 90%. We offer a range of boilers including Baxi, Worcester Bosch, Vokera and Ideal.
Will the boiler come with a warranty?
If you receive a new boiler through a boiler grant, your installation will be covered by the same warranty you would receive from that boiler manufacturer. The length of any warranty varies between brand and different boiler models but would usually be anything from 2-7 years. All aftercare will also be provided as part of the service to you.
